Hello Fiends,
Here is another excerpt from a little book of death poems I am writing called ‘101 Ways To Die, Accidents, Murders, And Other Techniques To Lose A Life’. I wrote this after I went on an all day hike in the woods and almost got killed by pacific rattlesnake. Enjoy!
Fifty miles
Deep within the woods
A backpacking adventure
Sounded pretty goodFresh mountain stream
Crisp mountain air
Not a cloud in the sky
Nor a single careThe bustling city
Its blanket of smog
Just a memory now
As your lungs unclogStepping over a rock
You hear a hiss
Rustling in the bushes
Then a deadly kissFangs dig deep
Poison enters your veins
A second strike
Results in the sameToo far from help
They’ll find you soon after
The unfortunate hiker
Bitten by a rattler
Thanks for reading,
~Curtis Rx

In celebration of the season I’m going to post a few lines a day of a Halloween poem that I am working on, with the whole thing coming to a close on Halloween morning. So, enjoy and don’t forget to check back everyday until Halloween for more.
All Lost Souls, Come Out, Come OutA skeleton hand
I extend to you
A ghastly invitation
That is bleeding right through
Open the box
Peer inside
A severed finger
To jog the mind
Did you remember
To R.S.V.P.
Or will you rest in peace
In the ossuary?
I hope you’ll attend
In the grimist of fashion
A celebration of sorts
In my haunted mansion
Let the festivities begin…
